I’m currently playing out Gen 3. Once finished I will write up the overview of their story - right here! In the meantime, below is an archive of all my Tweets for this Generation so far - just incase you need to catch up.

I’ve merely copied each Tweet as they originally went out, so some are quite random without much context, whereas others are part of a series of Tweets linked to a particular sub-plot. Everything is in chronological order, though.

Part 1 - Beach Swap

Before Delphin moves out to his new Gen 3 home (leaving Sulani behind), he and Nalani decided to spend the morning together.

Building sandcastles was something they always loved to do when Delphin was little.

Umm… when did Delphin get so…

With Delphin officially moved out, Nalani sought out her dolphin friend (Blu - the one she met the night before she gave birth to Delphin). She needed the company tonight.

“I’m so proud of him, but I’ll just miss him so much, y’know?”

*squeak squeak squeak*

Delphin was literally in the moving truck, on his way to his new Windenberg home, when his Watcher suddenly decided that in-fact it didn’t seem right for a mermaid to be so far from the ocean.

Sooo… this is his new bungalow in Tartosa.

Forever obsessed with mermaids taking baths.

Delphin has been pretty lonely since aging up & moving to Tartosa alone.

He thought life as an heir would be one of excitement & intrigue. Yet, so far it had consisted solely of waking each day for his culinary job, only to then come home to further practice his cooking skill.

Delphin’s biggest angst right now is that a week has passed & his high school girlfriend Ichika has yet to age up.

In her absence he’s been spending some time with a neighbour of his, but she’s becoming increasingly unbearable.

This Sim is self-absorbed, high maintenance… you name it.

But at least he has the ocean for company…

Something that is quite the comfort for a mermaid such as Delphin.

One evening, Delphin decided to invite some family over for a dinner party. A chance for some much needed company, but also a tick box exercise for his Master Chef aspiration.

Nalani was particularly impressed with Delphin’s new cooking skill. She went for second helpings!

After dinner, Gianico pulled Delphin aside for a poolside chat. His nephew didn’t seem his chirpy self.

“I’m all alone here, Gi. I want to be back home with my friends.”

“Delphie. There’s a whole world out there to explore, plus your friends & family are just a teleport away.”

“I know you’re right, uncle Gi. I guess I spent so long thinking about how my old life in Sulani had ended, that I hadn’t thought about how this was also the beginning of a new life here.”

Once their talk was over, Gianico clearly felt like his uncle duties had been a success.

One last motherly hug from Nalani, and the family were gone again.

But despite being on his own again, Delphin now felt a renewed sense of hope and purpose.

The next morning, Delphin awoke early with a fresh new mindset.

Before his workday had even began, he’d already gone for a jog and a swim in the ocean.

After work, Delphin made a trip to the home of Ichika.

He hoped to find out where they stood, for she must surely have aged up by now. It didn’t feel right to move on until he knew what was going on.

An awkward greeting from her mum didn’t help his nerves.

Delphin found Ichika sitting peacefully in the backyard.

He couldn’t refrain from being taken aback by her beauty. He’d forgotten how much he liked her.

Almost immediately, Ichika began gushing an apology.

“Delphie, I’m SO sorry for vanishing. My parents… they kept talking of the infant update… how as a legacy wife I’d be popping out babies as soon as it came. The Watcher has even listed our future baby names in his notepad…”

“B…b… babies?! Ichika, what are you talking about?”

“The Watcher!! He’s going to make us have tons of babies!!!”

Delphin was frazzled. “We’re not having any babies right now! The Watcher knows we’ve got to live a little before any of that.”

Ichika began easing up. “Really?!”

“Oh Delphin! I’m so happy. I’m sorry for not talking to you about this all sooner.”

They both leapt up and embraced one another.

“And plus,” he whispered, “the update might not come for another month yet anyway.”

And with that, baby number 1 was conceived… (just kidding…).

Part 2 - The Greedy Witch

Back with the Landgraabs, Nancy was keen to understand the progress Betsy had made in finalising her long awaited Potion of Immortality.

“You do recall I only permitted you to come live with me if you helped me with this, yes?”

“You act as though I had a say in the matter.”

“Don’t speak to your grandmother that way. Remember I reserve the right to expel you from this Coven. Is that what you want?”

Betsy got straight back to work after that. She knew not to risk Nancy’s wrath.

After she helped her with this one task, she’d leave her be… right?

Eventually Betsy had some good news for Nancy.

“The potion is nearly ready, grandma. It just needs the… final ingredient.”

Nancy smiled. “Ah. Perfect. That’s where I come in, for the fun part. Well done, Betsy. I see I was right in entrusting this task to you over Dolly.”

With her task finished, Betsy headed out with the other members of the Coven.

She lived in the city now after all - she ought to enjoy it!

“Grandma is working you too hard,” said Dolly. “What even is it she’s got you doing this time?” Betsy sighed. “You know I can’t say.”

Dolly and Gemma shared a knowing glance between them.

“At what point do we stop putting up with all of this?” asked Dolly. “Wasn’t she meant to have died already? What happened to one of us becoming the next Supreme?”

Betsy felt anxious talking of such things. Who knew when Nancy might be listening?

“Can we talk about something else?” asked Betsy.

“Fine,” replied Dolly, “but let’s agree that if, or when, things get worse, we stick together and do what must be done.”

Nancy was also back in the city that evening, attending to business of her own.

A visit to her long-time vampiric Woohoo Buddy, Caleb Vatore.

One satisfying Woohoo later, Nancy claimed the first of her victims. She would miss her visits to Caleb, but this had always been his intended purpose.

Vampire blood - Tick!

Now onto the remaining occults to complete her Potion of Immunity.

Nancy felt very pleased with herself the following morning.

She hadn’t stopped with Caleb, going on to collect a further two vials from her fellow occults. Immortality was waiting, after all!

She’d even picked up a nice new fur jacket along the way.

When Betsy came down for breakfast, Nancy’s smug face was enough to unnerve her. The vials of blood only added to that unease.

“A busy night?” asked Betsy, not really sure if she wanted to know more.

“Oh yes! And do you like my new coat? A guy called Greg gave it to me.”

Betsy made an excuse to leave the room as soon as she possibly could after that, without alerting her grandmother.

“Dolly, I think we might need to continue on with that conversation from last night… Things here have definitely gotten way worse.”

Dolly & Gemma were already at the meeting spot when Betsy got a chance to Transportalate to them.

She told them of her task to help Nancy create the Potion of Immortality, and how Nancy had led her to believe the final ingredient was simply a drop of llamacorn blood…

“The use of Occult blood in a Potion of Immortality is ancient dark magic,” warned Gemma. “It’s said to give the drinker not just Immortality, but Invincibility…”

“Well it may just start the next War of the Occults!!” yelped Dolly, “and it’ll mean we’ll never be rid of her!”

“I managed a good look at the vials,” said Betsy. “They were labelled Vamp, Wolf and Alien.”

“Well, that just leaves one other Occult…” whispered Gemma.

Panic spread through Dolly’s body. “Mermaids… Oh my Watcher, I need to warn Nalani and Delphin… immediately!!”

Dolly was relieved to find Nalani and Delphin together, and most importantly alive.

“Oh I bet she would LOVE a taste of this blood. Tough luck! She was actually here hiding in the bushes last night, though. I scared her off and told Delphin to come stay with me for a while.”

Nalani had some bad news too, though.

She had found the freshly dead body of another mermaid nearby just an hour earlier.

Dolly knew what that meant - Nancy now had everything she needed to finalise the Potion of Immortality.

Gemma meanwhile delved through the ancient tomes at Charm Manor, hoping to find more information.

Her heart stopped as she read the following: ‘If Occult blood can boost potion potency, the essence of another Spellcaster can maximise it. A practice both abhorrent & outlawed.’

‘It is reckoned the ideal candidate for such a transference of power, and life, would be one currently in ascendency to the role of Supreme.’

And so, the final stage of Nancy’s grand plan for ultimate Immortality and Invincibility was about to begin…

Whilst Betsy remained asleep in the other room, Nancy found herself pondering her next move.

Was she going too far this time? She’d felt nothing at un-aliving Greg, that sweet mermaid, nor even her hunky lover Caleb. But this was her own granddaughter…

Nancy again inspected her potion. She could simply drink it now, gaining the Immortality she’d always craved.

Adding Betsy’s essence to the mix for that sweet bonus of Invincibility was hard to resist though.

Nancy despised this feeling of guilt. Emotions are for peasants.

It seemed Nancy’s internal dilemmas had gone on for some time, for Betsy began to stir from her sleeping spell.

Betsy was confused. She had absolutely no idea how she had gotten here, and why was she dressed like a sacrificial lamb in this silky white robe? Nancy…

“Grandma, why am I here? I’m not about to become more potion fodder for you, am I?”

Nancy sighed. “Look, Betsy. I won’t lie to you. I was indeed about to drain your life-form & hide your body, but I’ve had a change of heart. I realised even I couldn’t do that to my own blood.”

Betsy felt faint. How could she have underestimated Nancy like this? It seemed there really was no line she wouldn’t cross.

“How could you have even considered such a thing, grandma?”

“Calm down! I just told you I’d had a change of heart.”

Betsy didn’t know what to think.

“I promise I won’t hurt you,” said Nancy. “Now come on, give your grandma a hug.”

As Nancy pulled Betsy in for an embrace, it wasn’t clear which Sim felt more uncomfortable. Betsy felt sick with betrayal, and Nancy hated the human contact.

Insert cool sound effects of witches Transportalating in the background…

Dolly & Gemma quickly closed in on Nancy, standing beside their Coven sister.

“Get away from her!” yelled Dolly. “We uncovered your plan. How could you do such a thing to your own granddaughter?”

“It’s okay…” began Betsy.

“No, it’s not,” said Gemma. “She wants to drink you!”

“Betsy already knows that I will be doing no such thing.”

“Stop lying to us Nancy, we know everything.”

Nancy rolled her eyes. “This is what I get for trying to be nice. Well, let’s go back to trying things my way instead.”

Betsy screams incoherently as her Coven sisters turn into ice cubes…

“Grandma!!! What did you do to them?!”

“Oh relax! They’ll be fine. Gosh, why are you girls always so dramatic? Now… how mad do you think Dolly would be if I drink the essence of Gemma instead?”

“You can’t be serious?” gasped Betsy.

“Ugh, fine. You really are such a spoilsport. I guess I’ll just stick with Immortality for now then.”

Nancy picked up the vial & chuckled to herself. “I can’t believe you silly girls really thought you could come in here and stop me.”

Betsy’s heart raced as Nancy lifted the potion up to her lips.

“Umm, grandma… maybe that’s not such a good idea. You see, I actually…”

But Nancy wasn’t listening anymore. The liquid was already pouring into her throat.

Before the last drop had even left the vial, a pulsing sensation had already began to reverberate through Nancy’s body.

“This doesn’t feel right…” Nancy muttered.

With one last bang, the smoke cleared.

Where Nancy had once stood now appeared someone altogether very different.

“Bwetsy?”

“Oh grandma,” sighed Betsy. “Whose the silly little girl now? You see, I didn’t think Immortality would suit you all that well, but a fresh start might.”

Part 3 - Readjustments

It wasn’t long before Betsy realised the full extent of her actions.

She’d unwittingly thrown herself into sudden parenthood (of her own grandmother).

No one else in the family was even willing to entertain the idea of raising little Nancy.

“Mama, more pancake pwease?”

“Nancy. I’m not Mama, remember? I’m just Betsy.”

Nancy seemed puzzled. “Okay, Mama.”

What had Betsy gotten herself into?

Despite the difficulties in adjusting to their new circumstances, Betsy had to admit that these were already the best memories she’d ever created with her grandmother.

Toddler Nancy also happened to be super adorable.

Betsy had yet to really enjoy Young Adult life. She’d gone from perpetual danger to sudden motherhood.

Her painting career had stalled, & she was yet to have a romantic relationship with another Sim.

She spent most nights on the sofa with a glass of wine & a copy of Simgue.

Betsy had developed a little crush, though.

She’d recently joined an online support group (Sims Recovering from Nancy Landgraab Trauma), and got talking to one forum member in particular.

She only knew him as his username SS, but she really wanted to meet him in person.

Betsy and her online friend eventually agreed to meet one day, at a cafe in Willow Creek.

Betsy was riddled with nerves as she awaited his arrival.

She had yet to tell him that the person they’d bonded over being traumatised by, was actually still alive and under her care.

Betsy hadn’t known what to expect, but she certainly didn’t think he’d be this handsome…

“Hey, I’m SS… but I guess you should just call me Sul Sul now!”

“Sul Sul… what an interesting name.”

“Yeah,” he smiled. “There’s quite the story behind that one.”

Betsy was enamoured, but desperately trying to keep her cool.

“Perhaps you can tell me your story sometime.”

“I’d like that. Now, I didn’t catch your real name yet?”

Betsy gulped. There was so much he didn’t know. “I’m Betsy… Landgraab.”

Sul Sul twitched. “Landgraab?”

Sul Sul was surprised to hear of Betsy’s relation to Nancy, but it didn’t seem a dealbreaker.

“We all have our own history with her,” he said.

They took a long walk, & Betsy began to fall hard. She didn’t want to ruin things by telling him of Nancy’s new life as a toddler.

The next time Betsy and Sul Sul met up, it was on an official date.

Sul Sul shared the story of how he’d washed up in Tartosa with no memory of who he was, and Betsy explained that she’s a Spellcaster in a Coven formally led by Nancy.

Towards the end of the night, Betsy started to feel super guilty that she still hadn’t told Sul Sul of Nancy’s ‘rebirth’.

She didn’t want anything to progress between them until she’d come clean, but then Sul Sul pulled her in for the most romantic kiss. Her first ever.

The following day, Sul Sul autonomously turned up outside the Landgraab Townhouse…

“Umm… Sul Sul… uhh, what are you doing here?”

“I just wanted to stop by to let you know how much I enjoyed our date yesterday.”

“That’s great… I mean, me too… but I’m kinda busy…”

Sul Sul suddenly became distracted. “Umm, Betsy… whose that crawling down the stairs?”

Betsy froze up. “Well, that depends… is there any chance it’s *not* a little blonde girl that you see?”

“Oh Sul Sul, I’m so sorry I didn’t tell you before. You see, there’s a bit more to the Nancy story than I originally let on. The old her is gone, but she didn’t die, per-say…”

Side note: Not toddler Nancy trying to sneak past undetected whilst all this us going on.

Sul Sul’s eyes widened.

“Wait a minute, you’re not about to tell me that’s THE Nancy, are you?”

After a moment of silence in which Betsy didn’t respond, Sul Sul suddenly burst into an uncontrollable fit of laughter.

Betsy erupted into laughter too, all tension evaporating from the room.

Eventually, Sul Sul found the ability to form words again.

“It’s okay, Betsy. Truly. How about we go talk about all of this over a nice cup of tea? Or in Nancy’s case, a cold glass of milk.”

Not the most typical of family dynamics, but perhaps they could make it work?

Following Nancy’s deposal, Betsy was also required to appear before the Sage Council .

They would determine whether she’d be suitable as the next Supreme of the Landgraab Coven.

“How do we know she won’t just become as reckless as her grandmother?” probed Morgyn.

“I think she’s more than proven herself,” retorted Simeon. “She’s the one who finally dethroned that tyrant Nancy… and in the most hilarious of ways.”

There was no further discussion after that - Betsy was officially anointed the next Landgraab Supreme.

Betsy and L. Faba took part in a friendly duel afterwards.

“I’m so pleased for you Betsy - you’ll make an incredible Supreme. Remember how Nancy did her best to hide your Spellcaster powers from you? Well, this has always been your destiny.”

That wasn’t the only big event to happen in Betsy’s life that day.

She had her very first woohoo with Sul Sul.

(Choosing to COMPLETELY ignore the potential ickiness of this situation i.e. Sul Sul’s previous romantic history).

Part 4 - Tartosian Loving

Back in Tartosa, Ichika (who now lives with Delphin) has been working hard to rise through the lower ranks of her engineering career.

Nalani therefore offered to take her to the spa for a much needed break. The Watcher couldn’t really tell whether she enjoyed it.

Both Nalani and Ichika quickly fell asleep in the sauna.

They would eventually wake up to a bit of a shock to the eyes.

Blimmin’ exhibitionist townies.

After the spa, Ichika and Nalani headed over to the beach bar.

They were joined there by Ichika’s mum, Alexa.

It seemed like they were grilling her the whole time. About what, though?

A typical Sunday in Tartosa - Delphin attempting to improve his mixology skill, and Ichika on the sun lounger.

It already seems like the Gen 3 Sims are going to be rocking a permanent tan, just like Gen 2 in Sulani.

Oooft.

Next time you might want to sunbathe in the nude, Ichika.

The following day, Ichika sought to even out that terrible tan line.

Delphin knew a quiet beach where she could comfortably get all of her kit off, and where he could enjoy a nice swim

What a view!

Too bad Ichika dozed off for most of the day, so she didn’t really enjoy it.

And then later that day, this happened…

Well, the truth is, it actually happened autonomously that morning, but the Watcher cancelled it and made them do it again.

Some more picturesque surroundings were needed for the photos i.e. not the bathroom in their bungalow.

Despite it being a re-run of an earlier proposal, Ichika still feigned a shocked reaction for the Watcher.

“Oh my goodness, I’ve totally never seen this ring before! It’s so beautiful!”

They pottered around by the water for the rest of the evening, taking in the moment and marking the occasion with a few (dozen) selfies.

And then the newly-engaged lovebirds fell asleep in one another’s arms, beneath the starry Tartosian sky.

The Gen 3 gang celebrated Delphin and Ichika’s engagement with a couple of drinks, ahead of the main engagement party in a few days.

The following morning, both Delphin and Ichika awoke with what seemed to be hangovers.

Ichika felt nauseous, and Delphin slept in so late that he had to miss his morning swim entirely.

Feeling slightly more perky by the afternoon, Ichika headed out for a manicure with her younger sister Akira.

Perhaps some pampering would combat her nausea, and plus… the Watcher felt bad that he hadn’t gotten her nails done in time for her engagement photos.

It seemed to work - Ichika was already feeling a lot better.

She headed home to check up on Delphin, but not before making the interesting choice to sit quietly in the corner of a yoga class without attempting to participate.

When the nausea persisted, Ichika started to worry there may be something else at play here.

As a precaution, she did a test.

Delphin works late hours, so she had to wait up for him to arrive back home.

“A pregnancy test?! Oh my Watcher! Well, was it positive?”

Ichika was taken aback by the panic in Delphin’s voice.

“No… it was negative, actually… but wait, would it really have been so bad if it hadn’t been?”

“I… I didn’t mean… I’d not even thought about it before today.”

“Well, maybe you should start thinking about it,” said Ichika.

Delphin laughed nervously. “Huh? Really? Not long ago it was you freaking out at the thought of babies.”

“These situations just make you realise what you really Want, I guess… Now, goodnight…”

Ichika rose and walked slowly inside, a thoughtful look upon her face.

Delphin was confused… Wasn’t their engagement enough for now?!

He worried their Wants had started to diverge. Or perhaps they hadn’t? He just wanted to make her happy, after all…

A couple of days later, Delphin and Ichika went to view their first potential wedding venue. Nalani had joined them to offer a second opinion.

“Okay, why does it feel like you two are being super awkward around each other? You’re meant to be in your honeymoon phase!”

Delphin and Ichika hesitantly shared their recent pregnancy scare, and how it had thrown up a bit of confusion as to when they might want kids.

Nalani sighed in disbelief. “You’ve only JUST got engaged! One step at a time, my loves.”

“Yes, but…” Ichika began.

“No buts! You both want kids eventually, yes?”

They both nodded.

“So there’s no issue here. Take this time to simply enjoy another. Plus, do you really think the Watcher is going to let you have a baby before the new patch anyway?”

“I guess we can do that,” said Ichika.

“Enjoy each other? We certainly can,” smiled Delphin.

And enjoy each other they did, much to Nalani’s horror.

Delphin & Ichika’s engagement party has arrived!

Here we have:

Nalani being a queen, Delphin thinking he’s James Gatsby (you know the picture), and a rare picture of the forgotten brother, Merwyn.

Next we have:

Gianico having a grand ol’ time, Gemma being her adorable self (alongside the back of Betsy’s head), and Dolly being a stunning queen.

Finally, from the engagement party we have:

Delphin getting a bit too confident after a third cocktail (he actually had to go to work after this), Ichika also being a stunning queen, and Gianico being effortlessly cute.

Part 5 - A Coven at Peace?

Today is a special day for the Landgraab Coven.

Daisy has returned from some extended travels, and with her she’s brought a new addition to the coven.

“Hey ladies, I’m Melinski Silversweater!”

“I found Melinski trapped in the Multiverse,” explained Daisy. “I was hoping we can find a way to return her to her own Simeon one day.”

“We’ll do all we can,” said Gemma.

“And you chose a good time to join the Coven,” chuckled Dolly. “Nancy is confined to a highchair these days.”

The Landgraab Coven is a lot more harmonious these days!

Dolly and Gemma stole a moment alone together after the Coven meeting.

“What do you think about this new girl, Melinski?” asked Gemma. “She seems pretty badass, right? And cute, too!”

“Should I be jealous?” teased Dolly.

“You never have anything to be jealous of, Dolly Zest. You know I’ll only ever have eyes for you.”

Dolly found herself blushing.

“You’re quite the charmer, Miss Charm.”

Everything is more magical in the Magic Realm.

These two woke up and autonomously began slow dancing first thing in the morning.

Gemma then proceeded to cook a huge batch of Mac n cheese in the cauldron… for breakfast.

She didn’t seem to appreciate the judgement from the Watcher.

Dolly is on babysitting duties today.

She pulled Nancy in for a big hug when they arrived at the park. “You’re going to be a good girl for me today, aren’t you Grandma?”

“‘Mwe always good gwirl.”

Nancy wanted to go on the slide first.

She got pretty scared once she got on there, though.

Next up was the extremely low-poly ball pit.

Nancy had a blast in that one!

A few hours of playtime later…

“It seems like you had a lot of fun today, Grandma? We need to go home now, though. We’ll come back again soon.”

“Why we nweed to go? Dwolly have no jwob. We stway longer.”

And so they stayed longer…

When Dolly dropped Nancy back off at the Landgraab Townhouse that evening, she popped in for a quick visit.

“Wow, Betsy. She’s really hard work, isn’t she…”

“Yeah, try living with her…”

One day, the Landgraab Coven were out for lunch at Glimmerbrook’s most popular cafe spot amongst spellcasters.

“Umm, Melinski… isn’t that your husband, Simeon? Well, not *your* husband. But you’re married to a version of him in the multiverse, right?”

Melinski gasped as she laid eyes on Simeon.

“Are you okay?” asked Betsy. “It must be hard seeing him… even if it’s not actually the guy you love. Gosh, this is confusing.”

“Yeah, but… it’s not even that. He’s just… so much uglier in this Save.”

Melinski wasn’t the type to let an opportunity pass, so she approached Simeon.

“Hey, buddy. How much do you know about travelling between Simverses?”

“Um. It’s pretty impossible, actually.”

“Wrong answer. Look, I could use your help. You’re still a Sage in this Save, right?”

Some weeks later, Dolly received an invite from Ichika to join her at the gym. She was grateful for a chance to blow off some steam.

Lately she’s been feeling a bit… ‘supporting character’ material.

She didn’t care for it.

Dolly was certainly happy for Betsy in her ascendance to Coven leader - but now what about her?

She is a Self-Absorbed Genius after all, and she’d always expected to be destined for great things!

She just felt a bit lost these days. What was her purpose?

By chance, Dolly’s dad Johnny suddenly turned up at the same gym.

She seized the opportunity to relay her worries to him. Some fatherly advice would be perfect right about now

“This is the life of a Spare, Dolly,” said Johnny. “We just have to find our own place in the Legacy.”

“I see.”

“Don’t ever think you’re any less important because of it, though. You’re a superstar, my girl.”

Dolly knew Johnny’s words were well intentioned, but they did little to help. She didn’t need to be told she’s a superstar, she already knew it.

She had just one thing on her mind now though - she needed to find a way to show the world her true potential.

Spare shmare!

Dolly soon spotted an opportunity to prove herself when she noticed Simeon & Melinski in a heated discussion one day.

“I gave you a much needed makeover, and STILL you won’t help me find a way home?”

“Melinski, please… I would if I could. I know nothing of the multiverse.”

“Perhaps I could help?” said Dolly. “You’d be surprised at the ancient tomes I’ve found laying around Charm Manor.”

“Really? Hmm. Though perhaps we should run such a thing past your Coven leader first.”

“Oh, Betsy has other things to worry about. Let me help you both out.”

Dolly quickly realised she may have bitten off more than she could chew, though.

She couldn’t find any reference to multiverse travel anywhere within the library of Charm Manor.

She thought hard about where else she could look…

And then it occurred to Dolly, where better to find information on obscure and forbidden magic than in Nancy’s old library?

She made up an excuse when Betsy enquired as to what she needed from there. She wanted to work this out on her own.

Several weeks of delving through Nancy’s spell books flew by… but then Dolly found what she needed.

She went to tell Simeon and Melinski the good news.

“Look Simeon, I’m already married, okay? And so are you. You’ve got to stop with… oh, hey Dolly! Didn’t see you there.”

“I’m sorry, was I interrupting something…? I just came to let you know I finally made a breakthrough… like I promised. Meet me at the old ruins tomorrow night.”

“At the old ruins? Why there?”

“I think it’s better we avoid any prying eyes here at the castle.”

Dolly seemed to have a hard time sleeping that night, even waking up halfway through for a 3am cocktail.

It seemed the usually unflappable Dolly was feeling rather tense and nervous about what she was to attempt that evening.

At breakfast that morning, Gemma noticed Dolly wasn’t her usual self.

“Is everything okay, Dols? You seem a little tense. What’ve you got planned for today?”

“Yeah, everything is good. Nothing much planned for today. Just, uh, helping some other Spellcasters out at the castle.”

Gemma knew Dolly wasn’t being completely truthful.

“Okay… well, that’s cool. I’m sure you’ll go ahead & smash whatever it is you’ve got to do for them.”

Evening arrived, and so Dolly met with Simeon and Melinski at the old ruins.

“So what are we doing here?” asked Simeon. “I’ve got to say - I’m having doubts about all of this.”

Melinski scoffed. “If Dolly has found a way to get me home, I want to at least give it a try.”

“Okay… so what I found was an old spell buried away in Nancy’s things. It seems she’d travelled across Saves quite a bit in her time.”

“Trusting the magic of Nancy Landgraab… this hardly eases my concerns. Melinski, why don’t we head back to the castle and find another way?”

“Simeon, stop! How many times do I have to tell you? I already have my own sexy Sage back home. I’m sorry, but you need to let me go. It’s time for me to return to my own Simverse.”

“So let’s do this, then?” asked Dolly.

They all nodded, even a reluctant Simeon.

The trio stood before one of the fires lit around them, and Dolly began casting the spell she had memorised from Nancy’s old spell book.

“I hereby call upon the Watcher to open the Portal of Trayfilerium!”

Dolly and the others watched on, as the flames slowly turned a shade of deep purple.

Melinski smiled.

“Ah, that’s my own Watcher’s favourite colour. This has to be a good sign.”

They waited in silence for a short time, watching the purple flames as they danced playfully in the night’s breeze.

And then the portal appeared.

Melinski felt a sudden tug, as if the portal beckoned her. A voice somewhere within it begged her to enter. A voice she recognised.

She knew home wasn’t far away now, and she walked calmly into the portal with a smile on her face.

“MELINSKI NO!! WAIT FOR ME!”

Dolly watched as Simeon disappeared into the portal after Melinski, moments before it closed up behind them.

Suddenly, she was stood there alone.

“Oh, llamapoo. I think we might have just lost a Sage.”

Two days later, Dolly had been called before (what was left of) the Sage Council.

“How is this my fault? I didn’t make that man follow her into the portal! If anything, I should be congratulated for an incredible piece of advanced spell-casting!”

“You opened an unpermitted portal to another Simverse. Do you know how dangerous that was? You broke so many rules Miss Zest, and we lost a 600 year old Sage in the process. I can only imagine the hell he must be in right now.”

“He’ll get over it,” sulked Dolly.

The Coven weren’t much happier with Dolly either.

“Do you know how hard I’ve been working to rebrand the Landgraab name? And then you go behind our backs and do this?”

“I just wanted to accomplish something on my own for once…”

“Well Dolly, you certainly did that. Now the Sage Council has left me no choice but to expel you from the Coven.”

“Expel me?! Why are you being like this? You may be Coven leader now, but that doesn’t give you the right to act like Nancy.”

“I’m hardly the one acting like her.”

“Gemma, if I go, you go too right?”

“Dolly, you can’t ask that of me…”

“You’d really stay in the Coven without me? I thought we stuck together.”

“That’s what I thought too, but then you kept secrets from all of us. Including me…”

Nancy would be so proud…

Dolly has come to stay with her dads Gianico and Johnny for a few days.

She needs to regain some perspective on things.

When the Watcher loaded into Gianico and Johnny’s household, he found Teddy and Elsie ‘playing’.

Although, judging by Elsie’s face in that second shot, its unclear how much play was involved!

Despite the circumstances, Gianico and Johnny were so glad to have their daughter back home again for a few days.

That didn’t mean they weren’t worried about her though. Dolly could often feel their watchful eyes boring into her.

It was obvious they were concerned about how things had been going in the Coven.

“I knew we shouldn’t have let my mother anywhere near our daughter,” sighed Johnny, when he and Gianico were later alone in the hot tub.

“We could hardly have denied her the opportunity to develop her Spellcaster powers. She’s her own person, at the end of the day.”

And just because the Watcher rarely gets to play with his favourite boys anymore, a little woohoo session followed.

Dolly and Gemma met up for some bubble tea. They’d missed each other over the last few days.

They caught up on the little things, like how Gemma was faring looking after their houseplants. They steered clear of any talk of the magic realm.

And then they played some table football to help break the ice.

Things felt awkward towards the end of their meet-up. They couldn’t avoid the topic any further.

“I’m so sorry, Gemma. I should never have kept my plotting secret from you, and I was so wrong to ask you to leave the Coven.”

“Come home already. I hate being in a fight.”

Dolly truly was sorry for the hurt her actions had caused Gemma.

That was the extent of her regret, though.

She still thinks she did an amazing job sending Melinski back home, and in her eyes Betsy and the Sage Council are completely overreacting

Part 6 - Infants Have Landed

The day before Delphin and Ichika’s wedding had arrived.

There were still lots of little things left for them to do, although there was really only one thing on their mind right now…

How many more times does the Watcher have to make them woohoo before they get their infant?!

That evening, Delphin and Ichika met for dinner with their Sims of Honour.

Delphin had chosen his brother Merwyn, and Ichika her sister, Akira.

Both pairs of siblings developed some cute new Family Dynamics during the meal.

They ended the night before their wedding with a quiet game of Simbles.

Ichika won!

The time had come for Delphin and Ichika’s wedding.

“Are you ready to become my wife?” asked Delphin.

Ichika couldn’t stop smiling.

“I truly can’t wait. Now c’mon, we better get this done quickly - before all of our guests stop behaving and get up out of their seats.”

With the ceremony about to start, one last guest made a fashionably late arrival.

Trust it to be Nancy. Even as a toddler, she has to be a diva.

Ichika was walked down the aisle by her father, Osamu.

The Watcher certainly did not have a tear in his eyes during this moment.

As the vows were being exchanged, two guests in particular were very emotional.

Nalani was overwhelmed with joy for her son, and Gianico was so proud of the nephew to whom he’d always been a father figure.

Delphin and Ichika banged their heads as they went in for their first kiss. It was rather endearing, though.

“Don’t worry guys! Just try again!”

Betsy was their cheerleader throughout.

The guests’ reactions throughout the wedding definitely varied.

Some were extremely emotional, others just wanted to go and play in the toilet already…

*cough* Nancy *cough*

Later at the wedding reception, Betsy and Nancy shared an oddly touching moment.

“Well done for being such a good girl today, Grandma.”

“Gramma?”

“Oh, sorry. I forgot I’m meant to stop calling you that now.”

The wedding reception finished with Delphin and Ichika on the dance floor.

Congratulations to the Gen 3 newlyweds.

Now it was finally time for INFANTS!

Bonus shot of a rather odd glitch that happened during the ceremony…

Nancy became momentarily possessed and elasticated.

It was extremely distracting, and quite frankly disturbing.

The day after the wedding, and just before Delphin & Ichika left for their honeymoon, Dolly dropped by with a little present for them.

A wedding portrait to go alongside their newly framed marriage certificate… Cute!

Delphin and Ichika had decided to honeymoon in San Sequoia. Living in Tartosa, they wanted somewhere with a completely different vibe for a few days.

It had a perfect family vibe here. Even their holiday rental was kitted out with baby toys…

After settling in, Delphin went swimming in the nearby lake. He was sure that mermaids weren’t a frequent sighting here in the city.

Ichika meanwhile stayed at the rental. She had started to feel a bit queasy on the teleport here…

Ichika had some big news to share with Delphin at dinner that evening.

“Oh my Watcher!! So all the woohooing finally paid off!!”

Gen 4 was on the way!

“That’s right Delphin, we’re going to be parents!”

Delphin jumped up and kissed his new wife.

What a way to kick off the honeymoon!

On the second day of their honeymoon, Delphin and Ichika went for a leisurely cycle around the lake at Gilbert Gardens.

Ichika was feeling a bit less nauseous today, and didn’t want to miss out on exploring the city.

All the cycling seemed to make Ichika feel queasy again, though.

“How about we head back to the rental already? It’s probably best we take it a bit easier for the rest of the trip.” Ichika nodded, glumly.

The Watcher couldn’t help but find Delphin cycling home in his speedos SUPER adorable.

It seems he’s rather used to parading around in his swimwear, having only lived by the beach his whole life.

That evening, they went to see a movie.

Delphin hoped it would be a more comfortable activity for Ichika, but unfortunately she was still feeling under the weather and didn’t like the film…

It had become increasingly clear that Ichika wasn’t able to enjoy the honeymoon, so Delphin proposed they headed back to Tartosa early.

“It’s okay, we’ll return one day soon. We’ll be able to bring our kid with us then, too.”

“That sounds amazing, Delphie. I can’t wait.”

A few days after they returned home, Delphin organised a surprise for Ichika.

A baby shower!

She’d been feeling pretty down about having to cut their honeymoon short, and he hoped this would cheer her up.

The baby shower was full of excitement, gifts, and gushing about the new baby.

Ichika’s mood was immediately lifted.

However… there was, of course, some drama.

The confetti cannon set itself on fire upon exploding. It was burning away for the longest time, making all the guests horribly smelly and tense.

Delphin was so over it, and even developed a fear of fire.

BUT… before that happened, Delphin managed to take a wonderful picture of Ichika and her beautiful friends and family.

So the Watcher still counted this baby shower as a thumping success!

Since their visit to San Sequoia, Delphin and Ichika have been considering moving there to raise their family.

That would mean leaving Tartosa behind though, and that doesn’t feel right.

The Watcher agrees.

This is pretty much how Ichika spent the final trimester of her pregnancy.

She was so ready to get this baby out of her already!

She also had both the baby’s future grandmothers visiting, like… every single day.

Seriously, they wouldn’t stop showing up.

Then, one evening, she woke up from a nap with a new moodlet…

Welcome to the Simverse, little Sandy Kattan.

As first born, she is most likely the Gen 4 legacy heir (the first girl to be so!!).

Her name is a nod to her birth world being Tartosa, and also the 50% chance she has of being a mermaid like her father and grandmother.

Nalani was so happy to meet her new granddaughter.

“Here she is, mum. Our little Sandy!”

“Oh, Delphin. She’s so perfect.”

Both her family, and the Watcher, love Sandy so much already.

She’s so teeny-tiny and precious.

Editor’s note: The newborn stage has so much more substance to it following the update! My gosh, they’re more challenging to care for now though.

Delphin has quickly discovered how difficult parenting can be.

He now cherishes any moment of peace he can get!

Ichika also has her own (relatable) ways to unwind.

Sandy aged up, marking the first Infant of this legacy.

She’s perfect. She’s adorable. She’s amazing. She’s wonderful. She’s an icon. She’s a legend. She IS the moment.

Sandy joined Delphin on one of his runs along the beach.

It was her first time leaving the house, and she seemed to quite enjoy it.

Delphin also tried to have some playtime with Sandy while they were at the beach, but the poor little bebe became overstimulated by her new surroundings.

So they headed back home.

Things didn’t get much better with Sandy that evening…

For a Squeamish Sim like Delphin, this is pure hell!

Have an infant, they said… It will be fun, they said…

Take it from the Watcher, that beach trip seemed to open up a WHOLE can of worms. Sandy went off the deep end that night.

Delphin was literally attending to her the whole time and she was acting as if she’d been abandoned!

While all of this was kicking off in Delphin’s household, the Watcher noticed this handsome chap exiting the water on the beach down below.

Just for those who might have been missing sweet Sul Sul recently…

It seems Sandy’s parents got pretty lucky overall with her infant quirks!

Good Appetite - useful!

Loves Wakeup Time - VERY useful!

Early Riser - well… perhaps this one wouldn’t be so bad if her parents weren’t up until the early hours of the morning with her every night.

Betsy came for a visit!

“So yeah, that’s the story of how Sandy peed and pooped on Delphin the other day. I’m just glad it wasn’t me.”

“Oh my gosh… now I’m SUPER relieved that Infants weren’t yet a thing when I aged Nancy down with that spell. Can you even imagine…”

“Speaking of infants… are you and Sul Sul thinking of having one anytime soon? I hear the Watcher is keen for another baby when he switches over to your household next.”

Betsy stuttered.

“Oh… I don’t know about that! Nancy is a handful as it is…”

Ichika and Betsy ended their day together with some pizza.

“I didn’t mean to panic you about babies earlier. I know you and Sul Sul probably aren’t ready just yet.”

“Well… I can’t rule it out completely. Perhaps it would do Nancy good to have a ‘sibling’ this time around…”

Finally - on night five!

The way the Watcher gasped when it happened. It seems he’s become WAY too invested in this whole raising an infant experience.

Delphin and Ichika aren’t the only ones who feel endlessly proud of her for every milestone she hits.

Sandy can now sit up!

As Sandy probably can’t return to the beach anytime soon (because she’s Sensitive and gets overly stimulated), Delphin has decided to bring the beach to their garden with a little sandpit.

This girl is adored by her parents!

Part 7 - Growing Up (Again)

Back with the Landgraabs!

Nancy may look cute here, but she’s actually contemplating a sudden desire to hurt poor Ichika.

What could Ichika have possibly done to deserve this?!

When she’s not thinking about hitting other Sims, Nancy is otherwise dousing herself in toilet water.

This becomes exponentially weirder when you realise this is the same Nancy who was only recently a grandmother, head of a witches coven, and an all round evil mastermind

Betsy is trying her best to instil manners and strong character values in Nancy this time around.

It’s become like a full time job for poor Betsy though, and it’s left her barely any time to try and hold together the faltering Landgraab Coven.

Luckily Betsy has Sul Sul to lean on.

Even if he still does find the concept of raising Nancy a little difficult to comprehend…

“I think we need to be more strict with her, Sul Sul. I’m worried we aren’t doing enough to ensure she grows up a changed Sim.”

“Uhh… okay. Though have you tried saying no to her lately? I went to take the tub of ice cream off her the other day and she called me Fool Fool!”

Betsy and Daisy met up.

“I’m so glad to see you Daisy. The Coven feels as if it’s crumbling. It’s just me, you and Gemma these days… we need more members.”

“I actually need to talk to you about that, Betsy. The Council have appointed me as the new Sage of Practical Magic…”

“… and of course, as a Sage I can no longer hold ties to any one Coven.”

Betsy’s heart sunk.

“Wow, Daisy! Thats… great, and… well actually, perhaps your first act as Sage could be lifting this little ban on Dolly rejoining?”

“I obviously can’t do that, Betsy. I’m sorry.”
