Before Delphin moves out to his new Gen 3 home (leaving Sulani behind, sadly), he and Nalani decided to spend the morning together.

Building sandcastles was something they had always loved to do when Delphin was little.

The nostalgia is hitting big, right now!

Umm… when did Delphin get so…

He’s definitely having his own James Bond moment coming out of the ocean here.

With Delphin now officially moved out, Nalani sought out an old friend. Yes, this is Blu! The dolphin she met the night before she gave birth to Delphin.

She really needed the company tonight.

“I’m so incredibly proud of him, but I’ll just miss him so much, y’know?”

*squeak squeak squeak*

What a day Delphin has had.

He was literally in the moving truck, on his way to a new home in Windenberg, when his Watcher suddenly decided that in fact it didn’t seem right for a mermaid to be so far from the ocean.

Sooo… this is his new bungalow in Tartosa. It’s so cute, and most importantly has a large body of swimmable water nearby!

The Watcher will forever be obsessed with mermaids taking baths.

Delphin is certainly enjoying no longer having to fight with family members over use of the bathroom now. One of the perks of having a place to himself, for sure.

Yes, it’s all so very exciting being an independent adult. At the same time, its also kind of lonely though…

In fact, as time goes on, Delphin has begun feeling increasingly isolated.

He didn’t expect aging up & moving out to be quite like this.

He thought life as an heir would be one of excitement & intrigue. Yet, so far it had consisted solely of waking each day for his culinary job, only to then come home to further practice his cooking skill.

Delphin’s biggest angst right now is that quite some time has passed since he aged up, and yet his high school girlfriend Ichika has seemingly yet to do the same.

In fact, it had almost felt like she’d disappeared completely. Was he really being ghosted again…?

In her absence, he’s been spending some time with a neighbour of his. Its nothing more than a fling, though. She’s pretty unbearable, actually. Self-absorbed, high maintenance… you name it.

At least he has the ocean for company…

That’s something that is quite the comfort for a mermaid such as Delphin.

Still, he really missed Ichika.

Home, too.

One evening, Delphin decided to invite some family over for a dinner party. A chance for some much needed company, but also a tick box exercise for his Master Chef aspiration.

Nalani was particularly impressed with Delphin’s new cooking skill. She even went for second helpings!

After they had finished dinner, Gianico pulled Delphin aside for a poolside chat. His nephew didn’t seem his usual chirpy self.

“I’m all alone here, Gi. I just want to be back home with my friends.”

“Delphie. There’s a whole world out there for you to explore. You just have to be willing to do so. Plus, your friends & family are never more than a short teleport away.”

“I know you’re right, uncle Gi. I guess I’d spent so long thinking about how my old life in Sulani had ended, that I hadn’t even thought about how this was also the beginning of a new life here.”

“Exactly, my boy.”

Once their talk was over, Gianico clearly felt like his uncle duties had been a success!

With one last motherly hug from Nalani, the family were gone again.

Yet despite being on his own again, Delphin now felt a renewed sense of hope and purpose.

The next morning, Delphin awoke early with a fresh new mindset.

Before his workday had even began, he’d already gone for a jog and a swim in the ocean.

It was time to embrace this new start!

Not every Sim gets to be a legacy heir, after all.

After work, Delphin made a trip to the home of Ichika.

He hoped to find out where the two of them stood, for she must surely have aged up by now. It didn’t feel right to move on until he knew what was going on.

An awkward greeting from her mum didn’t help his nerves.

“Oh, Delphin…. I…. I…. she’s just out back.”

Delphin found Ichika sitting peacefully in the backyard.

He couldn’t refrain from being taken aback by her beauty.

He’d forgotten just how much he liked her.

Almost immediately, Ichika began gushing an apology.

“Delphie, I’m SO sorry for vanishing. My parents… they kept talking of the upcoming infant update… how as a legacy wife I’d be expected to pop out babies as soon as it came. They say the Watcher has even listed our future baby names in his notepad…”

“B…b… babies?! Ichika, what are you talking about?”

“The Watcher!! He’s going to make us have tons of babies!!!”

Delphin was frazzled.

“Ichika, stop! We’re not having any babies right now! The Watcher knows we’ve got to live a little before any of that.”

Ichika began easing up. “Really?!”

“Oh Delphin! You’re sure? Oh, you have no idea how happy I am to hear that... I’m so sorry for not talking to you about this all sooner. I just panicked and…”

They both leapt up and embraced one another.

“I’m just so glad to see you again, Ichika, and plus,” he whispered, “the update might not come for another month yet anyway.”

And with that, baby number 1 was conceived… (just kidding…).
